Case Study - Internal Alterations & New Kitchen to Victorian Home

Mr & Mrs W, wanted to improve the internal layout of their ground floor space and turn the existing Utility Room, Kitchen and Snug area into an open plan family kitchen/living space. The removal of internal walls improved the internal circulation, improved the flow and along with the new windows, doors and roof lights helped provide a much brighter, lighter space much more suited to modern day living.

Case Study - Single Storey Extension to 1960’s Home

Mr & Mrs P wanted to enlarge the ground floor area of their 1960’s home and wanted a new kitchen, dining area and relaxation space overlooking the garden. With a smallish split level rear garden already, the plan was carefully designed to ensure that the garden area that was remaining would be put to good use and have areas that would be used all year round. The design of the extension looked at a number of possible forms and we settled for a slightly unusual dual pitched roof design which enabled the internal ceilings to be raised and vaulted creating the illusion of space and light. The extension measures 7.6m wide x 3.6m deep.

Case Study - Single Storey Extension to 1990’s Home

Mr & Mrs H, needed more internal ground floor space, with a growing family they found their existing conservatory just didi’t work as it was either too hot or too cold. They needed to find a way to create a larger dining space and wanted to have a separate utility room to free up the kitchen space for additional cupboards and appliances. The use of roof lights and sliding/folding doors enables lots of additional sunlight to be bought into the new space. Their new dining area and kitchen connect really well and the new dining space provides a really nice space for entertaining dining and relaxing. The extension measures 6.5m wide x 4.3m deep.

Case Study - Two Storey Extension to Edwardian Home

Mr & Mrs C, already had obtained planning permission from a London based architect. We helped with putting together the construction drawings and documents and making a building regulations full plans application. Ensuring that the full co-ordination of the design with our Structural Engineer we helped create a wonderful modern open plan kitchen, living, dining space that benefits from amazing views over the rear garden. The extension measures 14.5m wide x 11.5m deep.

Case Study - Single Storey Garden Room / Annex

Mr & Mrs T, needed a new space that could be used as a annex, a garden room and a spare room as and when needed. They wanted the space to be adaptable and in keeping with their original Edwardian home. They realised early on that due to the layout of their existing house it would be too difficult and challenging to extend without loosing the look, appearance and feel of the existing house. So the idea of creating space in their garden was born. We worked together through the design process, getting to know the customers tastes, likes, dislikes, needs and wants to ensure that what was designed would meet and fulfil their ideas and aspirations and also sit comfortably in the rear garden against the backdrop of the Edwardian rear elevation. The annex measures 10.0m wide x 4.1m deep.
